Nybro's all stainless steel joint was developed out of the demand for finer increments during the process of reducing flexion contractures. To do this we had to go back to the drawing board to innovate a new ratchet mechanism because current methods would not allow this to be achieved. The revolutionary design provides a slimline profile with an adjustable torque setting on the ratchet and an easy to operate release mechanism.

Ratchet Joints With a simple touch and squeeze, the release button will allow easy adjustment of the hinge angle. Alternatively by pushing the button sideways complete ratchet disengagement is obtained. Another positive aspect about the slimline characteristics of the joints is the reduced possibility of clothing being caught by the hinge or release button.

Acquired brain injury and arthogryposis patients alike benefit from the sustained progressive stretch of both upper and lower limbs over a period of time.
