Nybro is proud to manufacture and supply the
Hydro-J2, designed and developed by David Britz.
The Hydro-J2 is a centrifical compressor with an axial flow turbine. It
produces 8kg of static take-off thrust at 135,000rpm over 10 seconds and has a
maximum rpm of 125,000rpm.
The turbine weighs 1.1kg and has a diameter of 105mm and
a length of 220mm.
The Nybro miniature turbine has proven its reliability
with thousands of hours of bench-running and test flights.
Nybro is currently developing a multi-stage axial flow
compressor with an axial turbine. Its 11-stage compressor is
made of the finest quality material utilising the most up-to-date
casting and machining techniques. Static thrust is expected to
be approximately 25kg, it has an approximate weight of 1.7kg
with a diametre of 100mm and a length of 260mm.
